Fabric Measurements:

Most fabric widths are 42" to 44" and us normally indicated in description. So when cutting a piece of fabric it will be measured along selvage to length desired. For example 1 yard length x WOF. If the WOF (width of fabric is 42/44") then the cut piece will be 36" x 42/44". Samples as below:

  • 1 yard is 36" x 42"/44"
  • 1/2 yard is 18" x 42"/44"
  • 1/4 yard is 9" x 42"/44"            NOTE:  1/4 yard is the smallest length of fabric we sell.

Fat Quarters (appx. 18" x 22") - are found in the pre-cut section. Custom cutting is not available in this size.

How to Order and Select Your Quantity:

All fabric cuts will come in a continuous piece when available.  For example, if you order a quantity of (5) 1/2 yard cuts, the order will come in a 2.5 yard continuous piece, not 5 separate 1/2 yard cuts. 

Fabric Care:

Because every computer screen shows color differently.  We are not responsible for any discrepancies in color from the computer image to the actual print. We make all efforts possible to be sure colors/prints and designs are displayed as accurately as possible.

Bleeding Colors: Quick Quilts sells the highest quality quilters cottons, even so there is the chance colors may bleed when washed. Quick Quilts advises you take precautions when washing fabrics. There are products that help with this, just google online for current recommendations.

Minky/Cuddlesoft fabric care instructions: Wash alone in cold water using normal liquid detergent (Pods not recommended). No fabric softener. Tumble dry on AIR setting, or hang to dry.


Q: Do I have to create an account to check out?
A: No. You may proceed to checkout without creating one but it will make your life easier next time you purchase on our site.

Q: Is my personal information secure?
A: Absolutely! Quick Quilts will never share your personal information with anyone…EVER.


Q: Why does shipping seem so expensive?
A: Shipping is estimated on the order total by the computer. The actual shipping cost is charged when your order has been filled and packaged. This number may be higher than what the computer has estimated if you purchased sale merchandise. Please see our Shipping & Policies page for more details.

Q: How is my order shipped?
A: We ship most of our orders by USPS Priority Mail domestically and internationally. We may, on occasion, use UPS.

Q: How many yards can fit in a USPS Priority Mail envelope.
A: We can fit up to 5 yards of flat cotton or 3 yards of flannel into a Priority Mail envelope.

Q: Why should I pay for insurance?
A: Insurance on your package guarantees that you will receive your order OR be reimbursed for it shall it get lost in the mail. If you do not choose insurance, Quick Quilts will not be responsible for lost packages by USPS. Although this is a rare occurrence, it has happened.

Q: Can I pick up my order in the shop?
A: Yes. Just choose this option at checkout. You will be charged Idaho sales tax.


Q: Can I purchase a Gift Card to Quick Quilts?
A: Yes, we do sell Gift Cards. They can be purchased on-line, over the phone, or in our store.

Q: How long is a Gift Card valid?
A: Quick Quilts Gift Cards do not have an expiration date.

Q: Is there shipping charged on a Gift Card?
A: No.

Q: How do I use a Gift Card to your store on your website?
A: Please tell us that you have a gift card in the checkout notes. You may put the gift card number in the notes as well or we can call you to retrieve the information. You may still have to enter your credit card information but we will only use it for any remaining balance after the gift card has been redeemed.


Q: Can I return items?
A: As hard as we try to be sure items purchased meet your satisfaction we realize that returns may be necessary.
Quick Quilts will happily return or exchange any unopened, unused item within 30 days with your original receipt or gift receipt. Unless the product is defective, Quick Quilts considers the following items a FINAL SALE: cut fabric, books, patterns, software/cd's, antiques, clearance items and special orders. Class fees will be refunded with a store credit if cancelled prior to 7 days of the class start date, no refund or credit given after this time.
